The Anthropology Programme at the University of Waikato is seeking a lecturer to join their dedicated and innovative programme.
The successful candidate will have conducted ethnographic field research, preferably in Oceania, employing current methodologies and approaches and will be creatively engaged with issues of concern to contemporary anthropology. While candidates from any field of socio-cultural anthropology may apply, we are particularly seeking candidates who will able to teach core anthropological courses as well as develop their own expertise.
You will be suitably qualified with a PhD in Anthropology and have an emerging track record of high quality research outputs and the potential to attract external research funding. You will be committed to the development of research and graduate and postgraduate papers as well as teaching at all levels, including the supervision of masters and doctoral students.
The successful candidate will join an active, motivated team of academics.
Salary range for Lecturers is NZ$75,514 to $90,946 per year, and will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.
